Supported Volunteering
17-25 year olds with additional needs who have attended holiday club previously are welcome to come to holiday club sessions on our supported volunteer scheme.
Volunteer roles are agreed in advance that suit their age, interests and skills, and support will be provided to facilitate the experience, either by our staff or by your young person's regular PA, if they require 1:1 support. We will provide training as necessary, and some of our supported volunteers are working towards qualifications with us - for example in Food Hygiene.
We try to make this scheme as accessible as possible to young people with more complex needs. We are not currently CQC registered however, so if you are over 18 and require toileting support or medical interventions, our staff can't offer support but you are welcome to attend with a DBS-checked PA.
Please note if your young person would like to volunteer on trip days, they may need to make their own way to venues if space on Moor Time's transport is limited.
