WALK FOR MOOR TIME
Cover photo by Kate Lowe
Date: Saturday 26th September 2026
Time: 9.45am
Meeting point: The Ice-Cream boat, The Moorings, Victoria Road, Saltaire BD18 3LA
About the walk
For the second year running, Moor Time staff, volunteers and families will be walking and wheeling along the Leeds Liverpool canal towpath to raise funds for respite care days for young people with additional needs!
This time, we’re taking on the route from Saltaire to Leeds.
The whole route is wheelchair accessible, and you can choose what distance you want to aim for, from a short 1-mile stroll to Shipley, to the full challenge of 14 miles to Leeds.
We will meet at 9.45am to all start together at 10am. From that point onwards the walk will be relaxed, with everyone going at their own pace and stopping when they want to.
Moor Time can be contacted in an emergency on 07938 641700. We won’t be providing any formal marshalling or supervision. So please ensure you choose a suitable distance for your fitness levels, you have transport arranged home from your finish point, and you have enough adults to care for any under-18s who come with you.

Raising funds
Whatever distance you are aiming for, you can raise money for our work with young people with additional needs by:
1) sharing our group sponsorship link with friends and family.
2) downloading and sharing a paper sponsorship form
If you raise money offline using the sponsorship form, please return the completed forms to Moor Time and donate the funds raised within four weeks of the event finishing either by cheque or bank transfer. Email us at moortimeprojects@gmail.com to arrange this.
